5 January, 2020 Secure on Dog Island anchorage

Serenity and crew underway at 1500---clear, northerly at 10.  Down Carrabelle river/harbor at no-wake speed.  Serenity seems well.  Clearing the no-wake zone increased RPM up to 2000 and made 7.3mph into the flooding tide.  Bay relative smooth as we headed the 6 miles to dog island anchorage.  Approached the west end of the island at slow speed in 18 feet of water.  Easing toward the beach until 8 feet then u-turned and returned to 15 feet and dropped the anchor.  Good holding. 2.5 feet tide change tonight. Diesel off at 1600.  SST 64, 6 SM traveled, 1.1 engine hours.  Dog Island anchorage

Beautiful sunset: great to be anchored out.  Waiting updated weather forecast for the 70 mile, ten hour crossing tomorrow.  Stay tuned.

Light chop in diminishing wind

1272.3 Hobbs.  1195 Sm traveled.
